A couple weekends ago, my roomie and I made our way to Grand Central Station and hopped on a train to escape the everyday bustle of NYC. While I truly do love the city, there is something about being in nature during fall. So, we took advantage of the two hour ride to Connecticut.
We spent most of our day on Yale’s campus and the scenery was something out of a storybook. The leaves changing and crisp autumn air made me nostalgic for the fall season growing up in Michigan. We got lunch at a local hotel cafe and spent the rest of the day touring campus, peeking through a couple shops, and looking through art galleries.

It was so nice to reconnect with nature and spend sometime in a less stressful environment. We do have many beautiful parks and gorgeous scenery here in the city but sometimes an escape is needed. Also, never having been to Connecticut, it was a fun little adventure.
Now I’m back to the city and right in the heart of it, midterms are swelling, halloween is upon us, and I am busier than ever…but better than bored. Looking forward to what the next couple of weeks have in store 😉
