As we say goodbye to 2024, we’re reminded of all the little moments in between that truly make up a year. Each person’s experience is different, a unique blend of victories celebrated, lessons learned, and connections created. This time of year is perfect for reflecting on those memories, big and small, that shaped who we are today.
Looking back, I can’t help but marvel at the version of myself who started this year. She had no idea what was coming! After my first year of living between New York and Michigan, I thought I had life all figured out. Between school and modeling, I felt certain about who I was and where I was headed. But as 2024 unfolded, I found myself questioning everything. The path I thought was carefully mapped out began to shift, and I realized that veering off course isn’t always a bad thing—it’s just part of growing.

This year taught me so much, including what it’s really like to live in NYC. I learned how to navigate the quirks of city life: taking my laundry on the bus, carrying groceries 15 blocks in sweltering heat, and embracing the charm (and challenges) of a pre-war apartment. I also checked off some bucket list items, like visiting Graceland and biking around Mackinac Island. My roomie and I discovered some fun cocktail lounges and even tried our hand at a double date—though, let’s just say that story didn’t go anywhere! I visited my girlfriends and their new place at MSU, cheered on my little sister as she started high school (way too soon for my liking!), and explored new jobs—like being a New York nanny (short-lived!) and working as a hostess at a sports bar.
Amidst it all, I walked another season at NYFW, booked a dream job with Victoria’s Secret, and, of course, started this blog! It’s been a whirlwind of a year, full of lessons and surprises I never saw coming.
Now, as we step into 2025, I’m ready for a fresh start. A new year brings new opportunities, new travels, and new memories waiting to be made. But it’s also a chance to honor everything 2024 taught me—the good, the bad, and everything in between. While I’m eager for a clean slate, I’m carrying gratitude for the lessons learned and excitement for what’s to come. Here’s to 2025!
