The Perfect No-Makeup Makeup Look

Living in New York City with a jam packed schedule means that I spend a lot of my day on the go. The amount of time I have for simple tasks, like doing my makeup, is very limited most days. As a result, I have been able to condense my routine to the absolute nessecities to achieve a pulled together look in about five minutes.

This simple routine is my go to for castings and digitals on top of my everyday life as a student. You look presentable and pulled together, without really giving away the fact that you are wearing makeup at all.

Of course, the basis of this routine starts in the bathroom with skincare, but that is a whole other story…I’ll give a break down below of the steps I follow and link the products I use.

Rose Hydration Pore Minimizing Mist

I have mentioned this facial mist before and it truly is a staple in my makeup/skincare routine. It makes for a fresh, dewy, and hydrated base to build on. I will use this product before my makeup but also whenever I start to feel my skin getting dehydrated throughout the day.

    Elta MD Tinted Sunscreen

I was recommended this tinted sunscreen from my dermatologist. I wanted something I could wear everyday for sunscreen protection, but also a product that would make my skin look a little more uniform. I have a red undertone and this sunscreen helps reduce the redness in the skin on my face.

      Milk Makeup Flex Foundation Stick

This Milk Makeup foundation stick has been a staple in my makeup bag for at least three years now. I mostly use it for a light coverage concealer under my eyes and for spot treatment when I have small breakouts. The product itself is very buildable so you can customize the amount of coverage by adding as much or little product as you want.

        Sephora Brand Brown Mascara

Recently, I learned that brown mascara is much less harsh on my features and fair skin tone. I have been doing some trial and error with different brands and their brown mascara, but honestly this Sephora brand one works great. I am pretty picky when it comes to mascara because, for me, my lashes are one of the most important parts of my makeup routine.

Charolette Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder

Charolette Tillbury has some of my favorite makeup products. I absolutely adore everything from her packaging, to her formulas, to her messaging. This powder is great for setting your makeup and erasing any creases or oily spots on your face. This is a product I use whether I am doing a full glam look or a few simple steps on the way to a casting.

            e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil

I can’t say enough good things about e.l.f. They have so many quality products at very affordable price points; not to mention their range of shades across the board. One of my favorite products is this brow pencil, perfect for not only brows but a matching lip liner. When I am on the go keeping my bag light is the goal so, if I can use one product for multiple purposes, thats an A+ from me.

e.l.f. Clear Brown and Lash Mascara

Another golden star product from e.l.f is their eyebrow/lash mascara. A little goes a long way and lasts the whole day. I use this especially for my brows, but it is also great for your lashes if you are not feeling like you want to fully commit to mascara (i.e the gym, the beach, cozy at home etc.)

            PAT McGRATH LABS Nude Lipstick

I couldn’t find the exact lip color I use, but Pat’s lipsticks are top tier and any of her nude options would work just fine. I like using a light color on my lips that’s a little different from my natural tone, but not too dramatic that is obvious I have product on my lips. Another great option for this same effect would Charolette Tillbury’s Pillow Talk.

That’s a wrap on my holy grail makeup must-haves! These products never let me down, and I love how they keep my routine simple yet flawless. Whether you’re looking for budget-friendly staples or just some new beauty faves to try, I hope this list gave you some inspo!
