After spending over half a year in our apartment, Eliza and I finally got around to hosting our first dinner party; small, intimate, relaxed, and perfect in every way.
Our menu was simple; pasta with caesar salad and strawberry short cake for dessert. Also, wine was not in short supply thanks to our fabulous guests. We all sat around the dining table laughing and sharing stories until the candle sticks had melted into stubs and the speaker died. It was so heartwarming to see that this life I started from scratch almost two years ago had blossomed into something so beautiful. To now have a home filled with friends and laughter is the best confirmation that I am on the right track.
Hosting our dinner party was so fun and made us realize how simple having a gathering can be. The people and the connections are really what make something perfect and we are so lucky to have such great friends to share our time with!
