Here We Go Again: Transitioning From Winter to Spring

This is an awkward time of year. We are all yearning for warmer weather, yet we still need to protect ourselves from Mother Nature’s unpredictable elements. Turtleneck, sweater, t-shirt… no one is really sure, and the weather app isn’t very helpful either. Yet, we will still have to try our best to be comfortable while adding nods to style occasionally. I can’t control the temperature or the sun, but I can provide some outfit inspo for these upcoming months until we hit our spring sweet spot.

Without further aideu:

The end of Feburary carrying into March I’ll be wearing deep blues with pops of pastels. A solid pair of boots is a must. This weather will bring many things but the only thing certain is slush. As the frost starts to melt and spring slowly blooms, boots are the only thing you can rely on.

Incorporating patterend scarves can add a fun element of personality while concealing the funactional purpose of staying warm.

I’ve said it before and Ill say it again: layer, layer, layer. I like to start with a sheer cashmere base and build from there. This is where you can throw in a bulky sweater, turtle neck, and even some denim.

And last but not least, the trench. It is the most transitional piece, in my opinion. You wore it in the fall, you wore it lined in the early winter, you probably didn’t wear it during the eternal polar vortex we had, but you can wear it again now. As the weather becomes warm-ish, it is the perfect time to incorporate your trench coat back into the mix.
